Not to be outdone by
the farmers in the state of Rhode Island, those in New Hampshire refined the
breed for 30years and produced their own variety. It is now, however, very
different from its ancestors. Early maturity, quick feathering and a plump
carcase are particular features of this breed. Available in both large and
bantam sizes.
