These birds are always in demand for their blue-green eggs.
They are classed as a light breed and are not scatty like some.
The male has a very small pea comb, and the female none.
There are no wattles, and they have along deep body. The delicate lavender colour is much in demand,
and is a true breeding colour. The hens make good mothers and the chicks are vigorous and mature rapidly.
