Large,
rare breed with a bantam version. Originated in eastern Hungary – came to
Britain about 1880. A very vigorous breed and excellent layers and sitters.
Splendid foragers if allowed to roam, needing little additional food for most of
the year. Often used in the broiler industry in the hotter climate of France.
Must have a completely naked neck and a feathered cap.
