Sabelpoot is the Dutch name for Booted Bantam which is a very ancient
breed. It was used at the beginning of the last century to produce the Barbu
D’Uccle by crossing it with the Barbu D’Anver. They are lively, strutting birds, which become very
tame and trusting pets. They are easy to breed and raise. With their heavily
feathered legs, these birds need dry housing in wet weather.
